Technologies
A Pervasive Media system consists of four different types of element working together: sensors that input data, computing that processes data, actuators that produce an audio-visual or mechanical effect, and connectivity to join them all together.
Sensors
Sensors read information about the user and their context, whether it’s the users movement or other interactions.

Connectivity
Sensors are connected via cables, wi fi, Bluetooth or other means to the processing functions of the computer.

Computing
The computer, whether a laptop, mobile phone, Arduino etc. processes the inputs from the sensors and makes the information meaningful to the actuators.

Connectivity
Actuators are also connected via e.g. cables, wi fi, Bluetooth to the the computer.

Actuators
Actuators are the components that make something happen in the world. These could be a mechanical device, a screen effect, a loudspeaker.
